I would actually take the Intel pentium 3258, with it's overclocking capability it takes my preference.

Though, if you can I would actually invest in a cheap i5 4th gen CPU.

It's the new i3 3.5ghz with hyperthreading but it's locked, acdg to cpu testing, overclock is at + / - 0.2 . What would be the features of the upcoming i5 ?

Not sure yet and it isn't confirmed. It's just Haswell Refresh CPU's, and nothing really special.

Will i3 4150 with hyperthreading plus r7 radeon help with the upcoming games that can support quad core gaming? maybe a8 or even a10 trinity plus hd 6670 / r7 would be better.

I would not go with the AMD APU's, just Phenoms with integrated graphics but put a larger price on them for the graphics you don't need.

Hyperthreading does not make the dual core perform like a quad core, it just splits up the cores from two to four which makes them run more effectively, in gaming there is little to no difference.

Gamers would prefer fx 6300 with R9 GPU / HD 7770 or GTX 770, what about fx 4300 or 4150 / athlon x 4 since these are also quad core and newer architecture acdg to AMD website. @ unknownofprob

why not APU? please give some details , disadvantages or bad experiences. APU can also work as a dedicated CPU with discrete GPU or Dual graphics for 1080P gaming med to hi FPS, got this info from YouTube .

I hope you realise this -

"FX 4300 or 4150 / athlon x 4 since these are also quad core"

They are actually dual cores but are pre-hyperthreaded and labeled as a quad core. Hyperthreading just splits the cores up and uses them more effectively, they do not make a big difference and it does not compare to a proper quad core processor. This is the same for all FX series CPU's.

"why not APU? please give some details , disadvantages or bad experiences. APU can also work as a dedicated CPU with discrete GPU or Dual graphics for 1080P gaming med to hi FPS, got this info from YouTube ."

Dual graphics does not work with every card, and with the ones that work they are not as good as the R9 270 in the first place, with or without dual graphics. No bad experiences but the APU graphics itself will be useless to you with a graphics card, and the CPU itself is not as good as the price suggests.

I prefer G3258 because it can run with excellent most games out there... then it not big difference between both CPU performance compare with their prices for gaming purpose... for gaming it the GPU make more difference for performance..

Top 2 choices would be G3258 and I3 4150 . However, OC Pentium G3258 would cost more, like getting a better mobo ( gaming series ) or new cpu cooler with cooper and aluminum.
What are the true quadcore CPUs? AMD and INTEL.

Do you have your mind set on what you would now choose?

Now, it's just $ 70 - 100 for the CPU , up to $120 for the GPU and up to $70 mobo. Choices are 1. G3258 2 . will look for Phenom 2 X then unlocked it 3. I3 4150

I'd still stick with option number 1.

I would prefer AMD CPU this time since I'm using my bro PC and it's a stock core duo e5400 on an intel board with Galaxy Nvidia GT630. @ unknownofprob

If you wish to go AMD, that is also a solid route.

Radeon HD 3600 went bad after 5 years, then later on , I just realized it was the PSU fault. 350 max

Will it be 1. Phenom 2 x3 or x4 // unlock it using MSI ACC 2 . any trinity CPU or APU a6 or a8 then with a discrete GPU like R7 3. fx- 6300

FX 6300, a better CPU choice. Then buy a discrete graphics card. The FX 6300 needs an AM3+ Motherboard.

I like that option but I'll be using my GT630 for the new rig, then will get a better GPU next year.

that is perfectly fine for the meantime, that is better then going for an APU bundle.
