ASUS GTX 750Ti installation HELP needed

Okay, I've recently bought a brand new ssd & a new asus GTX 750ti. The issue I have is that the new graphics card requires a 6 pin connector to be plugged into it, my PSU doesn't have a separate slot to add one of these cables. Now I realise you can buy 2x 4 pin molex to 6 pin adapters, but I have no free connections left in my PC as my ssd used the last one.

I'm incredibly new to replacing components and I need some help with what I can do here, the problem with buying a brand new PSU is that I don't know how to wire everything back up once I replaced the old one.

if that 750 i needs a 6 pin then go grab a psu with 6 pin or just get a 6 pin connector. 450 watts should be fine for a gtx 750 ti.

i run my 650 ti boost with 450 watts and 1 6 pin connector.

ti boost > 750 ti
If I am correct and you have no more power cords available free (which is not understandable as you must have 6 pin or 6+2 pin power cables free) I would get a Molex Y cable -

There is no way in hell that 750 ti would take anywhere near 150w. Its going to be taking 60-70w max.

You are misunderstanding. It has the connections available to draw up to 150w (75w 6pin and 75w from pci-e slot) - There is no way a 750 ti will pull that much. The bios for the 750 ti has a power target of around 38w!

"The card requires a single 6-pin PCI-Express power connector. This power configuration can provide up to 150W of power. You can not use the card without the power connector (I tried)."

The power consumption is 74W max 'NOT OVERCLOCKED'. This means that the power consumption will exceed 75W overclocked and also above the slots maximum output (75W)

Not disputing the need of the 6 pin on this card. But 750 ti's can work just fine and overclock without it. despite popular belief the card can draw more than 75w from the pci-e slot.

If you check your own link, the 74w max is under load test, it only peaks at 65w in games.

Look up some other 750 Tis and see for your self. As I said, there is no way you need 150w of PSU power for this card.
 
That is not the entire point, it will not run without the 6 pin power connector. Overclocking the card exceeds it's power of 74W quite easily, if not the case Asus would not bother with the 6 pin power connector at all. I am not saying it reaches 150W, it doesn't but what other power connector can be used for that little extra power it needs? - No other.

When did i say it reaches 150W? - never.

I don't even see how this is relevant at all. if you look up higher in the thread I was the one stating requirements and offering solutions before you were going on about power usage. The only thing I can see as incorrect is your judgement to power usage for that card.
