Have you tried the simplest of things for brightness - Changing it on the monitor itself. You can change brightness on it's menu through the buttons.Mouse leaving trails - Do you mean lagging across the screen with the mouse sort of replicated behind it tens/hundreds of times?
yeah i tried changing the brightness on the menu sorry for not saying that, the mouse dissapears when i move it and i can see it again when i stop moving it
sorry if i am not clear

Well I can rule out a virus already, as you may have thought. If you can get hold of a television or another monitor I would try those and see what the result is.
i tried with a television its all good (thank god its not the gpu but the monitor),i will be sending back the monitor and getting the replacemnt thank for the help
