i have a pentium g2010 @ 2.8ghz
ram 4gb
intel hd graphics
windows 8.1 64bit

my question is should i consider getting another 4gb stick of ram or buy an gpu in that budget.

i really dont mind graphics. i only need performance i.e atleast 45+ fps at even low settings.

i cam play bo2,csgo,bc2,sgw2,etc

you wont get a decent graphics card for the price of 4gb of ram,, go for more ram and save up for graphics card in the future

you wont get that much performance even with a 16gb ram
get a gpu, it will help. while 4gb is a bit low, it is still ok. a gpu will help more

RAM is meant for holding multiple programs/apps opened (working or just opened) at the same time. In game performance depends purely on the GPU.

I'd go the DRAM, 8GB is basically considered entry level these days, and for the price of a stick of 4GB, you won't find a decent GPU - plus with the additional DRAM you will have more available to the system and games as the iGPU in the CPU is currently using a fair portion of your system DRAM

Definitely a GPU. 4GB is adequate for gaming, but onboard graphics are definitely going to be the bottleneck in that setup.

Don't go crazy on a graphics card with that CPU; something like an r9 270 will be plenty.

If your budget allows, one day you may want to go to a better CPU, like a quad-core Ivy Bridge. That plus a graphics card would keep your system relevant for at least a couple more years.
