I need help determining whether or not buying a hard drive fan would be worth it, my computer puts out alot of heat even with the all the fans turned to turbo in the BIOS. I was considering buying a hard drive fan for my HDD since it puts out alot of heat but no way to dissipate it.
My case is a RoseWill Challenger

the fan I'm looking to buy is

some one tell me if it would be worth buying and will work with my case in general. it's cheap but don't want to buy it if I don't have too.

More about : hard drive fan

Have you actually checked the temps using a suitable software like HWmonitor or SpeedFan? What is the system specs? With a 120mm fan blowing to the HDD, there's not much need for a dedicated HDD cooler. And the HDD alone won't make your system hotter.

I haven't used speedfan or anything but I used cpu-z and all my components are running around 90-100+ degrees at all times and it shouldn't be that high.

If the temps were that high, the system would auto-shutdown, CPU-Z doesn't give any temps in first place, where have you been looking? Can you provide a screenshot? Have you OCed the CPU? What CPU cooler do you have, Stock or af?

if your computer is putting out a lot of heat then it sounds as if the current fans are doing their job just fine. It's when the heat remains in the case that you get problems.

What I'm trying to say is it gets really hot causing my room to be a steam room is there anything I can do about that?

Your computer is generating a lot of heat. If it's being expelled into your room rather than staying in the computer that's a good thing. As I said before, the fans are doing their job.

Yes I know that's their job I'm asking what can I do to stop my room from being a sauna.

By a bigger case, buy lower power consumption components. That would be about it.

Either buy a slower computer, turn up the air-conditioning, or open a window.

But seriously, how can a computer heat up a room? I've read about room temps heating up a computer but this is something I've not heard of. Anyways, adding a HDD fan won't help, seems to be poor air ventilation to me, open the windows.

You've obviously never been in a server room! That's why they have to have massive air-conditioning. Without that the room gets so hot that the servers shut down.

I can only presume it's a very small room with inadequate ventilation - not the best place to put a high-performance computer.

Your system will generate exactly the same amount of heat, no matter how many fans are in there.

More fans just move that heat out of the box faster. Up to a point. Then they just make more noise.

Ijack, I know, but his listed components are fx 6 and hd 7770. Presumably won't put up so much of heat unless the system is in the attic.
