Just a quick question about heat sinks:

Are heat sinks a passive piece of equipment (i.e. nonexistant or negligible power usage) or is there a wattage listed somewhere that I'm missing?

The heat sink I'm going to attempt to install is a Zalman 9900 max.

Thanks!

Around 12W max unless theres an extra power connector to the PSU which i doubt its present

the only power usage is the fan on the cooler which is 12v and around .5 amps if that. So don't be concerned about power usage.

The heatsink itself does not consume power, as the word heatsink only refers to the metal-block on which the cooler/fan is placed. The fan consumes little power: 3-10 watts tops.
