Hi guys,

I'm kind of a newbie and i'd like to upgrade my computer. I got a Asus P8Z68 V LX as mobo with a core i5 2500k, 2x4Go RAM @ 1600 MHz CL9 Corsair Vengeance, a SSD 240Go Kingston Hyper X 3k, a Gigabyte GTX570 (Gv N570OC). The whole thing is powered by a Corsaire TX750.

I'd like to replace my gpu and memory. I whish to buy a GTX970 4Gb Gigabyte GV-N970WF3OC-4GD and 2x8Go RAM @ 1866 MHz CL9 Corsaire Vengeance. (I can't add those two to the existant one because of my Noctua cooler who prevents me to put more than 3 sticks of ram).

I'd like to know if those now component will fit without any problem in my computer.

Cordially,

PS : sorry about the langage, not a native speaker.

Solution
The GPU upgrade would be fine, but sadly, the RAM modules you chose are high in profile and would be obstructed by your cooler, G.Skill Ares or RJX or Tridents or Corsair Veng LP or Pro are better and would eliminate this issue :)

Yes, they will work. Get an SSD if you dont have one already. Will speed everything up.

As long as your cooler wont get in the way of 2 sticks, you can squeeze in 2 sticks of 8GB each. 16GB is more than enough ram :)

I already got a SSD ;) And for the sticks the one already in place aren't obstructed by my cooler. Anyway, is there a big difference between Corsaire vengeance normal, LP and Pro ? and with the G. Skills. All of them seems great to me but which one is the most appropriate ?

The cheapest tbh, but really, why would you want high profile sticks when you can get better ones for less price. In many major countries, Corsair Veng is costlier than RJX. Not much difference performance wise, but if you can get better suited sticks for coolers with not much clearance, then why not?
