I bought a Gigabyte P15V2-CF2 which has a Intel core i5 4200M processor. All the other P15V2-CF2's have a core i7 4810MQ quad core processor but all the other specs are the same (i'm guessing it has the same MB too) . So i want to know if it is possible for me to upgrade my laptop processor from 4200M to a quad core 4810MQ?

It is possible to upgrade your cpu but i would advise against it .Laptop repair shops might not have the expertise and your choice of cpu moreover you won't get any support from gigabyte.
Moreover you should be good with your current processor unless and until you are into hardcore video editing and stuff.

Possible = yes (within reason).
Viable = depends, but most likely is not.

Mobile processors are expensive and a little more difficult to come by than retail desktop processors. As long as the motherboard and its firmware support other CPUs, then you can upgrade the processor as far as both the socket and firmware will support. Note that doing so risks your warranty and that Gigabyte will not support your upgrade endeavors whether you take them upon yourself or you bring the laptop to a professional.

Its possible but it depends on whether or not you want to pay people to do it for you or whether or not you want to do it yourself. Also, this voids your warranty so if anything happens, you are stuck with it. The i5 is not a bad processor at all, do you really need the i7?
