I have a build with a Zotac AMP! 780 and was wondering if I should upgrade to the 970

780 card is in near perfect condition and isn't very old so it shouldn't be too difficult to sell, so the cost to upgrade is potentially very small

also what 970 do you recommend?

I wouldn't bother. You wont really notice a difference in performance.

Definately not worth the hassle. Your current card is factory overclocked and as such performance wise on par with the 970 (give or take a few fps). The only real gain would be lower power draw.

If you have the money spare and have a 750W or more PSU then just SLI your current 780.

Just make sure your motherboard supports SLI.

If you're worried about the resale value of your 780 in the future then sell it now and go 970.
