Hello! So I need to downgrade a game on Steam in order to install mod. But when I go to properties only options are update automatically or update when game launches. Is there really no way to disable updates, except from going offline?

Apparently not through Steam.
You'd have to block steam's access to the internet through your firewall, and then set everything to "Update when game launches" and then always block steam unless you want to download a game/update a game.
Steam also seems to never have actually let you not update a game, the "disable automatic updates" option of the past was actually "update when game launch"
If you go to the games folder you might be able to run the .exe without steam though.... maybe >_> not sure.

depending on the game, i would pirate the version you need. You already supported the devs, so no harm no foul
