Guys i've been planning to build myself a new rig, and here is the config :

Gtx 970
8gb Gskill ripjaws (1333 mhz)
Corsair GS700
Corsair 350d

And motherboard : if I take Intel -MSI Z97 PC Mate
if I take AMD -MSI 970 Gaming Edition

So now the question is that should i take the 8350 for its 8 cores (as next gen games probably use more multicores) or the hexacore i7 980x?? I wanna be future proof guys!!

There is no such thing as future proof, but price/performance i would go for the 8350. At least out of the two CPUs that you listed. The i7-4770k is a better option than the 970. Tech has come along way since the 900 series of CPUs.

The 980x has hyperthreading much like AMDs multiple "cores." It can do six threads. They are probably very comparable. The 980x wont work in a z97 board though. Its x58.

I have the 4930 intel hex and its AMAZING. Below is the CPU chart. Higher the better.

This CPU also has socket 2011-v3. so make sure to get the right MOBO. + this socket is the newest :)

4770 or the K version is a great choice. Mine clocked to 4.8ghz stable. What are you going to cool it with? Even if you get the non K version, an aftermarket heatsink will help keep it from throttling when temps get high.

4790k, please. Runs cooler, clocks higher. For the same price.
