Hi, before i start i just want to say that i am a hardcore logitech fan, i have about 4 mice, 2 speakers, a headset and now a G27 but after what i have just experienced i am starting to question my relationship with them.

So i just got my first G27 logitech racing wheel a week ago and i've been itching to use it since but when i opened the box and plugged everything in, the clutch pedal and whole gearbox wasn't working. I tried reconnecting everything and i tried every game i had to make sure it wasn't working, since the store was only 10 minutes away i decided to drive back and get it swapped out. When i was back home, i yet again had to reconnect and wire everything (neatfreak) to my pc and main which can be a painful process as there are many cables and parts to this product. When everything was assembled and good i booted up my pc and turned on eurotruck 2... And of course this one didnt even work either for the exact same reasons - the clutch pedal and gearbox wasn't responding. This isn't the first time logitech has given me a defective product. I bought surround sound speaker set that took over an hour to set up and that i also had to return. Is this happening to many others or am i just unlucky? I know its a stupid question but is there anything wrong with my computer, software or driver? At this point im really desperate and unhappy with logitech, although they make quality products their consistency sucks. I really hope i can fully use the G27 soon as i have payed $300 dollars for a product that should just be plug and play. Sorry for the rant but any feedback or advice will be gladly appreciated. Thanks.

There's a lot of thing that might be wrong.

.. Either you you computer does not have compatible drivers (you'll need to go to logitec site to download and install)
.. Your USB ports aren't 'automatically' identifying that something is connected, thus, not downloading the drivers
automatically
.. Your computer is not Updated

Or all of the above.
**********************
For the 1st problem:
Go here and download: https://support.logitech.com/en_us/category/gaming
*************************
2nd possible problem/solution:
Go to Start and type "Services" (in windows 8 I think you need to go into Control Panel, and find the Services icon)

Then in your services make sure that "Plug and Play" service is on Automatic, and started.
**************************
3rd Solution:
Open start, then type "Windows Update" and click the Windows Update icon.

Then click "Check for Updates".

When the updates appear, Click on the updates you want. If you're not sure, just install them all.

* If your updates Do NOT install, then your services for Windows Update need to be started.

If so...
Go to "Services" again.
Double-click "Windows Update" service and Start it.
Other Services that need to be running for Update to work are:
Windows Installer service,
Windows Driver Foundation service
and Windows Biometric service.

Then shut off your computer and REBOOT to make sure they start.
(make sure they are on AUTOMATIC, or they will not start on their own)

Then Retry the Updates Installations(s).

On the manual it says that it needs no drivers or software but to make sure i tried downloading the driver and it gives me the "Logitech gaming software 8.55" but i already have this. When i try to open the software, it doesnt find anything. But when i plug in my headset it finds it almost immediately... Also i have tried every solution u gave me, thanks for trying to help me but it didnt work.
