Hey everyone,
I recently built myself a gaming rig, with a Maximus VII Hero Board and an H440 case. I'm gonna keep it at that for now, because I'm sure one of these two is housing the culprit of my problem. Well, I've had the computer for about a month now, and since this morning, the sound coming out from the headphone input on the front audio panel is really bad, it sounds distorted, with echoes coming in after anything. The mic input works just fine with the headphone though, the sound is great when using it. I removed the cables and plugged them back in on the motherboard and on the front panel, to no avail. I'm thinking that the problem is coming from the headphone input. So I would appreciate it if someone could help me out.
Thanks

I'm more than happy to say that it turned out to be an issue with the realtek driver that came with the motheboard's CD, it was the only driver I didn't update :L Wouldn't have thought, at all, that the realtek driver would be distorting the sound going to one particular output.
