I'm getting ready to upgrade and really want to know which is better:

Corsair AX1500i --> Titanium rated, $449 w/7 year warranty

EVGA SuperNOVA 220-P2-1600-X1 --> Platinum rated, $399 w/10 year warranty

Decisions, decisions... Too bad EVGA elected to not incorporate a software monitoring tool similiar to Corsair Link :(

And yes, I really do need this type of high-end power supply. So, any suggestions would be great.

Either one is great! Toss a coin.

Are you planning on running a quad SLI or Crossfire setup?

Corsair AX1500i = Flextronics

EVGA P2 = Superflower

I would go with EVGA.

Dont forget LEPA G Series 1600W 80+ Gold for $260. Still a tier 1 psu in my book.

The LEPA is decent but not in the same league as the other two.

I recently purchased a 3rd Gigabyte GTX780 Ghz Edition card and now need the extra power. My existing Seasonic SS-1200XP3 does not provide enough power for having the 3rd card, let alone any room to overclock either the cards or the CPU beyond it's current 4.2 Ghz @ 1.3V. Also, the Gigabyte Ghz Edition cards are factory overclocked, and use about 320 Watts under full load vs. the 250-270 Watts of a stock GTX780, so there is that to consider as part of the whole power consumption equation. All the power calculators I used showed that I need a +1200 Watt power supply using 3 stock GTX780s, so I know the power requirements are even higher for my setup.

For those of you wondering, I decided to hold off on purchasing two GTX980s because to be honest I was not impressed with their performance in 4K gaming benchmarks. Their 256-bit bus is proving to be a larger limiting factor than originally thought. I'm going to hold off on upgrading my GPUs until the GTX980Ti is released. It's rumored to have a 512-bit bus, which will eliminate any potential bottlenecks that GPU, Shader, and memory clock speeds can't resolve on their own.
