Hey all,

Ok so I have a ASUS VN248H 23.8 in monitor and when i play games like Crysis 2 or Civilization 5, i get Oout of Range message as the screen blinks black. I can't do anything in this mode either because i can't see anything besides this message. This happens at 1920x1080 which my monitor should not being going out of range. Any suggestions for settings changes would help. I also use a DVI cable which could be the issue because i had problems getting into BIOS before with it because of the same issue lol.

here is a step by step as how to change the out of range issue in these games ...

step 1 >> right click on the games launch icon
step 2 >> click properties
step 3 >> click compatibilty
step 4 >>check the box beside " run in 640x480 screen resolution
step 5 >> launch the game
step 6 >> once in the game everything is going to be reall big due to the fact that the game is being run in a 640x480 resolution..
step 7 >>navigate to the graphics\video setting and adjust the resolution and refresh rate ..

that should help you for sure

I couldn't apply this but what did fix the problem was getting rid of the DVI cable.
I'm using HDMI with no issues :)
