umm.... there are different I3's 2nd gen, 3rd gen, 4th gen they are all different and the newer ones perform faster. The 1150 is for 4th gen Intel cores. If you want a LGA 1150 for the 4TH gen I3 then I would recommend this board.

AsRock has made me happy as I have used atleast 2 in my relatives builds. This board is in my uncles and he loves it paired with a Pentium G3440. You can use a 4TH gen I3, I would recommend a I3 4330 as they run smooth and handle cards like the r9 295x2 better than a FX 8350 :p.

No, there are lots of i3 processors from different generations that are not compatible with one another.

i3 xxx (socket 1156)
i3 2xxx (socket 1155)
i3 3xxx (socket 1155)
i3 4xxx (socket 1150)

Processors from the same socket are usually compatible with motherboards supporting that socket, though older boards may need BIOS updates to support new CPUs.

Can you explain a little more what you're trying to do? It's not clear.

You wrote LGA 1156 ,Find a mobo with this socket . This is a pretty old i3 . If you find a mobo , make sure it really supports the processor by reading the list of the supported processors - e.g. on line
