I owned this NZXT LED sleeve for about 2 years.

The other day the lights started flickering really fast. I switched the brightness down from 3 to 2 and it stopped flickering. I powered on the PC today and it was flickering again.

I unplugged its molex connector but when I plugged it back in, only 1/20 led's was working and it was flickering.

Could something be interfering with it? Is this a common issue for LED's?

No idea how these things are wired together but if they are in some sort of series-parallel configuration, maybe one of the LEDs burnt-out shorted and the extra voltage on the remaining LEDs blew them out except for the one that got away for some reason.

Well, most likely they are supposed to flicker.

If they are not, you're probbly using too much RAM.

have you added any paging to your hard drive ?

Go to:

Start (or Control Panel)/
create a restoration point;
Advanced tab,
Performance -Settings,
Advanced,
Virtual Memory - Change,
Custom Size: (Then type in however much Paging RAM you need) It helps.

RAM and the page file has nothing to do with random flickering LED's.

Not sure what happened to TheDarkSide's comment, but yes, the purpose of the LED's is to look cool. And they do look cool.

..... That is until they completely stopped working. I tested them on another PC and they didn't work there either. I've got a Bitfenix Alchemy LED strip which is 10x brighter so hopefully that lasts longer. Not happy with a 2 year life-span. Will be very cautious with nzxt products from here on out.

I'm guessing one of the other mods (USA?) deleted it because it was obviously not related to the issue.

Sounds like an issue in the wiring somewhere. With a bit of soldering, you can buy something like this and literally fill your case with LEDs if you want. Old ones die after a few years? Cut some new ones off the strip and put them in. You'll have LEDs until you die. More color options, too. Works well with molex, which is 12v.
