Hi gents,
So I just picked up a GTX 760 OC by Gigabyte; it was on sale, and even though older, it beats my old EVGA 560 TI. The first thing I did after installing the card and fresh drivers was to fire up a game that I often play (MechWarrior: Online) and my frame rates were awful. Well, perhaps not 'awful' but certainly no better than I saw with my 560 TI.
I ran the system through 3D Mark, running the Fire Strike non-extreme test, and scored:
SCORE: 5567 with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760(1x) and Intel Core i5-2500K Processor

Now, to me, that looks pretty bad, especially as I googled similar hardware configs from others, and saw things like this:
P8746 with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760(1x) and Intel Core i5-3570K Processor

Stop me if I'm wrong (I'm a bit new to really getting into the hardware scene), and I know the second example has a better CPU, but I seem to be under-performing here even if one takes that into account (my 'graphics' score is seemingly low). The card is installed properly (a 6+2 power connector and a separate 6 pin, as prescribed), and my drivers are up to date. My processor is overclocked to 4.2 on the i-2500k...
Am I bottle-necking? Busted card? Am I simply expecting too much? I read a lot of reviews on the GTX 760, and while I know it's not top of the line, it's supposed to be a LOT better than the 560 ti it replaced...
