Trouble Launching Games, Help Wanted.

I haven't been able to launch most of my games: Dungeons & Dragons Online, The Lord of the Rings Online, Insurgency and Darksiders 1 & 2 are the only ones I know for sure all have the same problem.

Whenever I try to launch one of the above, if it has a launcher, like LOTRO and DDO, I can log in and choose a server but when I click play, it just closes, it doesn't show up in the task manager or have any error reports. For Darksiders and Insurgency it'll say the game is loading (Darksiders and Insurgency are both on Steam, LOTRO and DDO I have tried both on and not on Steam) and then it'll disappear and nothing happens just like DDO and LOTRO.

I was going to try a factory reset to see if that fixed the problem, and I was able to get to the Advanced Boot Options Menu and use the arrow keys and press enter to select "Repair Your Computer" but after it loads the windows files and I'm on the System Recovery Options Menu both my mouse and keyboard stop working, I've tried all my USB ports, I've also tried using a different mouse and keyboard, so far nothing has worked.

In the action center under maintenance windows has also detected 37 problems, but whenever I check for solutions, windows always fails connecting to the Windows Error Reporting Service

Windows 7

Processor: Intel Core i5-4690K

Motherboard: Asus Maximus VII Hero

Video Card: PowerColor PCS+ Radeon R9 290

Ram: 2x4 8Gigs

I have talked to Turbines (DDO and LOTRO's) Customer Service, and am still doing so.

Any help would be appreciated, if you need more information just ask.
Thanks.

start the game, let it crash, then go to Start > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Event Viewer
In Event Viewer, expand the Windows Logs section and click the Application one.

Look for Errors from around the time it crashed, you can also look at the System logs, but those might be more generic, but if you match up the times you can find sometihng.

Your Windows does sound like it's f-ed up though, do you have an anti-virus program?

You can try MalwareBytes to remove any malware you have, but it won't protect from future Malware unless you pay for it, but you should get a free antivirus from someone besides Microsoft. (Windows defender is better than nothing, but it's also the worst of the lot)

The Event Viewer recognized that I launched DDO, and I waited a little bit before logging in so that I would see a difference in the time that it launched and crashed, but I couldn't find any errors, and the last thing recorded was me launching DDO, I did this several times to make sure I didn't miss anything.

I do have MalwareBytes, and I also have Spybot - Search and Destroy, I scan regularly with them, but I don't have any antivirus programs other than that.

Thanks for the quick answer.

I was able to Factory reset my computer by changing the load order in the bios to load my mouse and keyboard first, I think windows installed incorrectly the first time, all my games are working now.
