Hey guys,
So, I have a HP Pavilion p6 series and I would like to upgrade it's system to be able to run a higher performance for gaming. Here's the link to it's Specifications. The aim here is for me to get the best performance out of this PC that I can without having to buy a whole new computer.

I've restarted my whole system recently, defraged it, got rid of background applications that aren't needed, removed un-wanted programs, and downloaded Razer Game Booster for best performance. I've also allocated more RAM to games that I play. Anything else I can do within the system?

And for my components - Playing games like DayZ & COD and hoping to play more games in the future, my CPU seems to be able to run it according to this. However my Graphics Card seems to struggle so I have to play low graphics and even then I sit on 20-25 FPS.
What's a good graphics card that's not to expensive that will run well with this PC, and should I upgrade my CPU?
My friend mentioned the Geforce 750 ti... Good choice?

What else is there... Oh yeah!
I had to clean the fans out recently and my PC makes a bit of a sound, but not as much as it used to before the clean. God, it was running bad!
CPUID HWMonitor was telling me both my Processer and Graphics Card were running close and above 100 c!
Now my AMD A8-5500 runs at about 50-60 c, and the NVIDIA GeForce GT 620 runs at 50-60 as well.
Is that good? Can you upgrade your fans in your system or does that require a new PC?

There's my detailed information, prepare your expertise and prove to me you know what you're doing and can help me out. The more in detail explanations will help me out all the better.
Thanks guys/girls!

The $200-$299 GPU cards will play a lot of games - you may not get max FPS on all of them.....but it will be playable...

You should budget in there a $70-$100 for a PSU (500-550W).

If you keep your eye on NEWEGG.COM and other retailers - you might find a bargain on them.

This GPU was rated best value in the enthusiast GPU for gaming: http://www.amazon.com/Gigabyte-Radeon-Display-PCI-Express-GV-R928WF3OC-3GD/dp/B00J41A5GK/?&tag=bom-tomshardware-20
I have several (3 to be exact) HP computers (6-8 years old) that no longer have any original parts in them....They definitely weren't built for gaming - and the ventilation in the cases aren't that great. You have a bit more modern parts than I did (I did a complete gutting - only original parts were I saved 1 optical drive and 1 hard drive from the originals).

Getting a decent video card will improve performance - you have 8GB RAM. My suggestion is to replace the GPU - do you have a budget for that?

Also - do you have any empty fan mounts on the case (some of them did have 2-3 of them) - adding fans will improve air flow.

GPU Budget:
Well I'm a year 12 student who needs to start saving for Europe next year, however, I will have a bit of spare money when working for the new few months so not too concerned with a budget.
That graphics card my friend suggested was about $200 at the computer store in town. That seems like a decent price right?
Maybe recommend a graphics card around that price and maybe a HIGH BUDGET one that I might consider saving for.
My concern I just researched was the power supply. I think mine's 230V, which probably isn't enough to run a higher graphics card, is it? I'll probably have to upgrade that....

Fans? Three fans are installed in my PC according to HWMonitor.
