Hi all,

Just completed my first build this week and thinking due to my current pc playing on my tv monitor (42" plasma) and my couch set up a controller would be easier to play than using the wireless keyboard/mouse. (and absolutely loving the system full ultra on everything bioshock infinite was great - the tv held up nicely too).

Do I need any additional hardware (Bluetooth) for wireless ps3 controller?
Can I just plug it in with the cord into the usb?
What driver would I need?

i5 4690k
asus z97 maximus vii hero
evga gtx 970 acx
16gb 1866 ram
3tb hdd
250gb Samsung 850 pro ssd

Cheers

I'm not much into that, but AFAIK PCs do not offer native DualShock 3 compatibility, so you can't just plug the controller in and play.

Get yourself a software called Better DS3 (which is supposedly better than MotioninJoy) and configure it, then you'll be able to do what you want :)
Provided you have a compatible Bluetooth adapter, it should make it work wirelessly too.

The best thing would be a 360 controller TBH, as the needed drivers for the PS3 controllers to work with such softwares are known to cause some issues with other peripherals.
