Able to Ping IP Address But Not Hostname

Hi,

Recently there's a notebook of my company infected by malwares. After scanned with malwarebytes, I realized that it can ping to IP address but not hostname, and Internet Explorer
cannot browse anymore but Firefox works well.

Please help. :(

Hard to say when you have malware involved. You could try the nslookup command and see if it correctly resolves that would eliminate DNS and host file issues. After that you are stuck trying to figure out what registry setting was messed up. Many malware things modify the proxy settings but ip would have issue also.
