yes if you see that in future you cannot play at ultra settings anymore with gtx 970 then you can go for sli but i dont think you will require another card in the next 3 year if you play at 1080p plus make sure your board supports sli.

The only thing I would change is the PSU. It doesn't have a favorable review.
