Hi Guys i just bought this PSU : Cooler Master Silent Pro M2 720w

M2-Bottom.jpg

I'm getting a 970GTX from MSI or ASUS (haven't decided yet) so i'm wondering if this PSU will be able to run a SLI of 970's

The rest of the build i'm planning to get
i7 4790K (OC in future)
ASUS Z97 Maximus HERO
16GB DDR3 2400MHZ
1TB Caviar Green
2x7200HDD in the future
ADATA XPG 900 128Go

Solution
Again,it'll suffice for one 970,get a better PSU for 2x970 and you'll be good to go.
Good luck,m8.
Make sure to choose a solution. ;)

I like to over-provision my PSUs. :)

According to EVGA each GTX 790 draws 145W. they recommend a singe-card system to have 500W. Add the 145 for a 2nd PSU and you are at 645W. that leaves 95W for overclocking.

I'll adjust my estimate to 850W - 1,000W :)

My Silent Pro M2 is in the Tier three - Meets standard ATX specifications, though closer to the edges than Tier two units. These are still solid units, which still supply stable power to your system, though not ideal for serious overclocking
