Hello,

I am going to get a new pc tomorrow with a gtx970.

I was wondering if it is possible to have a HDMI cable connected to the TV and a DP cable connected to the monitor at the same?

I don't need to use them at the same time. I would use the TV for gaming and movies and the monitor for working.

Is there anyway to change the output on the gpu, or something similar?

Thanks

Solution
The graphics card will run every display that is turned on and connected to the card itself, if one is off then only one is used. As long as the Monitor is DP to DP and the TV is HDMI to HDMI it won't be a problem. Don't try to mix and match cables like DVI to DP as it does not work, you would need an active adapter in order to do that.

Nope, As default they will run together but not display the same things, things open will be able to be interchangeable across both displays but it may look a little weird when moving things across (not at the same level and different sizes) due to height differences and resolution.
