I'm planning to build a PC (or I will just upgrade my current pc), and I was wondering what PSU is the needed or best for this build...

Specs:
Motherboard: ASUS B85M-G
Processor: i7-4770k
RAM: 2 x GSKILL RIPJAWSX 8GB 1600MHz
Hard Drive: 1 TB 7200RPM / SSD
GPU: MSI GTX750 Twin Frozr

What he means, is that you can get the i7 without the k edition for overclocking as the motherboard you have chosen is not designed for overclocking at all, so the k edition is a useless addition unless there is a change in motherboard plans.

I'd suggest going for the H97 motherboard area. As it is within a budget and you'll get use out of your k edition processor.

A simple 450W PSU should suffice for that system. Though I would suggest having a 500W PSU as if you decide to start overclocking, it's best to have the extra bit of Oomph in the power supply. Just in case

This will be the first PC that I will build, and I'm new to this kind of stuff. I don't quite get it. Let's see my budget is around $1000
