MeteorsRaining is correct.

If you want something that lasts longer, you're better off with the Intel Core i5 over an AMD FX. As the FX series processors are already 3 years old with no foreseeable change coming, and they are based off a horrible (Bulldozer/Piledriver) Architecture, these days. It's best to stick with Intel.

That's a 3rd gen CPU, LGA1155 socket is not the latest, and when you get LGA1150 CPUs at the same price, why to even think about 3rd gen?

Well the MoBo will depend if you want SLI ability or not. Any B85 or H81 or H87/97 MoBo from Gigabyte/ MSI/ Asus/ Asrock would be good for the CPU. So it depends on the fact if you want SLI ability or not.
For FX 6, its not comparable to i5 in performance, but rather i3, so we can eliminate that.

Yep, no AMD right now.
CPU: i5 4440.
MoBo: ASUS H97-PLUS
Or a cheaper option: Gigabyte GA-H97M-D3H

I would try and get an Intel Core i5-4460 as your CPU of choice.

Motherboard? Same as MeteorsRaining. THe H97-PLUS. Gives the most out of your CPU and gives you the ability to have multiple RADEON GPU's.

That Xeon is LGA1155, and the selected MoBo won't be compatible with it, stick with i5.

Yes, on a LGA1150 Xeon, you'll only gain performance, due to more core speeds, go for it.
