WD MyBook ES, I was using a USB connection which was slow. Hooked up the ESata connection to my PC's rear ESata connector, which is connected to a regular sata port inside.

In WINDOWS, both the Device Manager and Disk Manager do not see it, nor does My Computer.

AHCI is enabled in BIOS. I use Intel RST.

Using a USB connection, it works fine, I'm just looking for more speed via eSata.

Refreshing doesn't help, nor does re-booting, I tried it powered up, down, plugged in pre-boot,after etc.

Any ideas??

Yes, there's a separate wall power supply to the WD drive.
