Booting Problem, Asus z87, no booting

ok so i have a asus z87 i can seem to get the boot to come up, i do have a old hard drive in and i have tryed 1 ram stick, there is a continuous red light on for the ram though, (bottom left hand side)
i have older graphics cards ( x2)
Help me out please.

Get this bios update and if u cant acces bios setting u cant update bios

Do you get any post at all? Any errors? anything on the screen? Any power to the system?


If no, follow below.

Go down to bare minimum. 1 GPU (or on board if you can), 1 ram stick, unplug all HDD but your main drive.

Try to boot.

If it does not boot, swap the ram stick, try a different slot.

Try the other GPU.

ati radeon hd 5850
corsair h100i cooler
corsair ddr3 16gb vengeance LP Ram
aerocool strike-x 1100w

thank you, i have done all this already
i think it might be to do with the bios. im just not sure on why it wouldnt be working

my screen comes up blank and the red light is on, power goes to everything, the motherboard isnt shorting out and the cpu is in correctly, the pins are all fine and i didnt touch anything on the cpu or the socket.
i have plenty of power also to run everything. it also says everywhere that the sabertooth z87 with Core i7-4790K
is compatible D:

yes its all working, all i need to know how to do is, use the asus flashback with the updated bios usb without post. can you direct me step by step in how to do this.

write a list please
