Hello,
I'm wondering if anyone knows why Chrome is eating a LOT of RAM.

(This is my personal upload site, if you don't trust it, I'll happily upload it to Imgur or something)

You can see that Chrome is using over 1.2GB's RAM. I have 5 TAB's open.
Used to be 'Lightweight' now, it's not.

PC SPECS:
CPU: i7 4790K @ 4.5GHz
GPU: EVGA GTX 780 ACX&SC
RAM: Corsair Vengeance RED 8GB 2400MHz

Thanks,
Amos.

Chrome cahces all of your website visited as well.

Just because you now only have 5 tabs open does not relieve its memory usage. It is still saving all this data about previous tabs into system memory.

If you closed the brower (assuming chrome is not set to auto open all previous tabs) and then open those 5 tabs only, I bet your memory usage will be much less.

In the settings, you can turn off "Predict network actions to improve page load performance"

Thanks Boosted for your info, I didn't realize it stored it in memory.
And Thanks RGD, that worked, now using around 150MB's. :D
