I am still not getting the response that I need from ASUS. They said my laptop was covered for repair under the warranty. Then they changed their minds and said it wasn't. Then they admitted that I had contacted them about the faulty laptop within the warranty period and agreed to do the repair under the warranty. What a struggle, but they did replace the hard drive.

However, when they returned it to me the WIFI connection kept dropping out and now they are refusing to fix that under the warranty. It was working perfectly well before I send it to ASUS for repair and they have returned it to me without a functioning WIFI connection.

I really cannot understand how they can refuse to repair the WIFI connection under the warranty. It was working before I sent it to them and it was not working when they sent it back! This is totally unjustified and unfair. Any suggestions?

I sympathize with you on this but at the same time I can see their side. You can test a bad hard drive on a laptop very easily, but wifi is both the laptop and the router. You cant test it without both pieces and even still you might not be able to duplicate the problem.

I would take off the bottom cover and make sure the antenna cables are properly attached to the wifi card. I would also update the wifi driver to the newest driver form asus. If that does not fix the problem then it is likley not anything they did.

Check for updated drivers from ASUS for the wreless card. They likely used the base image ones which are often out dated.
