So, as the title says I am moving back to my native land of the UK!

I plan to build a new PC when I get home but want to bring SOME parts with me to save money. Some things I will not make huge savings on and others are crazy ie a gigabyte 980 gtx is ~ $550 in the US compared to over $800 in the UK!

Not sure if I will have issues with airport security though?!

Here is the plan:

- Gaming PC which will be used for some web dev and photo editing.
- Need a full pc inc monitor (pref 120hz or 4k maybe?), mouse etc
- Have budget of around $2k-$2.5k
- Will buy small bits from US. I was thinking gpu, cpu, ssd and mouse
- having been using amazon.com and amazon.co.uk for cost comparisons between the two countries.

I am interested to see how others would do this?! Help would be great!!

$2k is about £1250, if this the case, you can build yourself a moderately good computer for gaming, intel is quite expensive in the UK, so you might have to go for an AMD CPU.

Anyway, I would recommend looking at ebuyer and amazon uk for prices on what you want.

I am sticking with using dollars just for simplicity. I live in the US at the moment you see.

The way it works is that prices in the US are about equal in number to UK so a gpu might be $550 in the US but £550 in the UK which is around $800!
