MY PSU has an ON/OFF SWITCH at the back. now everytime i shut down my pc, i dont switch off the psu, and the videocard mini green light inside my pc is on and my mouse too is still on.

so the question is. do i need to turn off the psu switch after i turn off my pc? or is it safe to leave it on always? cos what ive said above, even pc is off, the videocard and mouse has light in it.

Leave it on. That allows it to continue to provide +5VSB (SB=StandBy). It is not worth the wear on the switch to turn it off all the time. Only turn it off if you are installing/upgrading/replacing parts (and give it about 20 seconds for capacitors to discharge).

No you don't need to switch the power supply button on the back. The reason why some components stay on are because your motherboard supports a feature that allows continuous power to peripherals like charging a phone while computer is off, mouse light still on etc.
