Western Digital Caviar Blue 1tb worth the upgrade?

Hey guys!
I have an old and crappy Samsung HD080HJ (80gb, SATA 2)
I'm just wondering if a WD caviar blue 1tb is worth the upgrade..
And can you please tell me the more about the benefits that I can have?
Do you have any recommendations?

Is your hdd full? If not, get a 120gb ssd instead. You won't believe the speed improvement!

SSD is the way to go. It will be the single best upgrade for your system. 120gb, 250gb, 500gb.... All great drives.

And you can use the SSD for your next computer once this one dies

This comes to less than $100 you can move the OS and some games to the ssd and keep the 80gb drive for storage

Hi there Paulo0603,

You will get more storage eventually higher speeds(as you old HDD is SATA 2).
When talking about whether you should get a HDD or SSD, it really depends on what you want. HDDs are no match to SSDs in terms of performance. If you need more storage space though, I would say you go with HDD.
In case you decide to use your old HDD as a storage, I would advise you to run a testing tool and see its condition.
