Out of the two, the 'K' version, due to OCability, and higher clock out of the box if you don't wanna try your hand on OCing. But such gaming requirements are some years away atleast.

The i7 4790 has a max boost of 4 Ghz, if you go with the i7 4790k the max boost is 4.4Ghz and you can Overclock it even further - 4.8Ghz if you are lucky, making it as much as 20% faster than the 4790... So if you are playing CPU intensive games by all means the K version is worth the extra cost.

Hey I'm planning to buy to buy this new motherboard Asus Z97m plus matx and putting one of these two processor in it because i already have my older mid tower case and it fits my budget too. will it be a great combination combining this motherboard with these i7 processors 4790 or 4790k?

yea that motherboard will work for either CPU.. If you are getting a Z board you might as well get the i7 4790k... Any reason you are getting a Micro ATX motherboard? I'd get a normal ATX motherboard if your case is a mid tower.
something like this if you want to stay on the cheap side : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

Ok well does your case support Micro ATX motherboards? You will need a Mini ITX motherboard if not.

here is a Mini ITX motherboard assuming you want to stick with Asus: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

Most mini towers support mATX. And that MoBo (Z97m +) is a good choice, feel free to put either CPU in that, K version would compliment it better, both are OCable so you can try your hand at OCing :)
