8gb ram of two different speeds

I'm asking this because i already have 8gb ddr3 ram of 1333mhz installed on my motherboard earlier and now i want to upgrade my ram with 8gb ddr3 ram of 2133mhz, so what should with my 8 gb ram which i have installed earlier. can't i use them both to make 16 gigs of ram

if you used both sets of sticks at the same time, you would just have 4 sticks of RAM running at the slowest speed, 1333MHz.
If you want your RAM to run at 2133MHz, you have to unplug your 2 existing, slower sticks of RAM. RAM cannot run at different speeds and CAS latencies within the same computer.

If they work together, you have about 75% chance they will, they will all default to match the speed of the slowest stick.
