Long story very short with all details.

I cleaned out my brothers computer using compressed air, as I have done many times with mine.
Completely redone his computer installing windows 7 and drivers the whole process.

He noticed he had no sound so I brought it back to realize.....

He has no sound, vga, hdmi, and this is all on-board....

Thinking maybe it was a missing chipset driver or possible wrong HD audio driver I have uninstalled and reinstalled drivers several times.

Everything shows up says its ok but wont work!!!!

Considering I am VERY careful with computers ... this is puzzling me very so. I used an ESD wrist strap... only pulled the GPU to clean it, blew the computer out with compressed air. There seems to be no sign of burn damage blown caps or anything .... completely mad now.

anyone able to help fix this issue would promote me to make a lifedebt towards him/her.

OTHERWISE:

I need some great priced suggestions on a new am2+ mobo and upgrading to ddr3 would probably suite my brother best. He is using ddr2 @... 400mhzx2?

his price range would be around 40-70 for mobo 20-30 for 2x2gb 1600ram

ill continue thinking on the issue at hand... another question is the vga/hdmi/on board graphics etc is all one chipset driver correct?

EDIT:
For craps i installed my own HDD and reinstalled a clean Win7 to see if it was HDD/OS related... it was not. Same thing happened, pull the new HDD out and swapped for his HDD back to square one.

Just to clear things up.. I don't think this is a driver issue. I have been to the Gigabyte site and downloaded the right drivers several times to make sure. If anyone can suggest anything please pm me asap. Thanks.... and also....
