Hey guys, so I have narrowed it down to these two coolers for my FX 8350. I am looking to overclock my CPU but nothing too extreme, maybe 4.6-4.8 at most. I am open for other suggestions but I don't want to go with watercooling. I don't care about looks as i wont see it, I just want the best cooling performance.

Specs:

mobo: Asus sabertooth 990fx r2.0
GPU: R9 280x
CPU: FX 8350
PSU: XFX pro series 750w
HDD: WD 1TB
CPU cooler: Cooler Master hyper evo 212
Case: Phantek enthroo pro
RAM: crucial tactical tracer 2x4gb, 1600

Thanks

The D15 is definitely superior, mostly cuz its produces less noise.

They cool equally , but the Noctua is slightly quieter.

The Phanteks will cool just as good as a Noctua , just a tad bit louder , and very easy to install.

Its all a matter of taste. The Phanteks comes in colors, so is much easier and cheaper to build into a themed PC. Face it, the Noctuas are an ugly shade of tan. The Noctua however, performs better than the Phanteks, if not by much. No idea on the CryoRig, but from SR-71's pic, it looks seriously cooler (hah) than either of the other two.
If you want best performance, and you just absolutely have to have the best, even if that's only by 1 or 2 degrees, and you could care less about colors or themes or noise... then you are looking in the wrong direction. Forget air, you need a closed loop liquid cooler (unless full open loop custom WC is within budget). A good 280mm like Swiftechs or NZXT Kraken x61 will get you those desperately needed few degrees.

I wanna stay with air tbh, and im not too bothered about looks, anyway the noctua might go with my build as the asus sabertooth kinda has those military clours

The D15 or even D14 is a great choice, the D15 cools a TEENSY bit better but is a lot cheaper. Like 30$.
