CPU fan error

I recently reset my bios, because I used UEFI auto-overclocking method (I had no idea what I was doing). As it turns out, the reset caused some bugs, one of which being this CPU error. I have no idea if it is a false positive, but today on boot was the second time the error occurred. The first happened a day after I restored the default bios settings, about a week ago. It didn't happen again until just now. My CPU fan is fine, and seems to be running perfectly (it is a Hyper 212 EVO). When I went into the bios, the CPU rpm option was in red, and indeed, it was running 20 or so rpm slower, but it ramped up normally after around two minutes. What exactly is causing this? My system is well ventilated and the temperatures are well under control (I monitor rather frequently). Could this just be a bios error, a false positive? I'm using a very outdated bios version, 1016. My motherboard is the Sabertooth Z77 from Asus. I've never had any problems before I reset. If I am to update, how would I properly flash it? I understand bios flashing can be very risky, so how would I properly do so? Is it possible that this happens because the default settings has some sort of threshold that has to be met, and I have to increase my fan rpm so this doesn't happen? I can't remember what the fan rpm was previously, but I think it was in the 600 range. It was similar to the default speed, I believe. If I could reset the CMOs, how could I do that? I have no idea where it is on the Sabertooth Z77 because of the thermal armour. Could that cause any harm?

The message looks a bit similar to this, although the one I received has more information and is worded differently: http://ntcservice.ru/stat/uploads/posts/2014-03/1395152...

Solution
Within the BIOS, go to Monitor. Select "Fan Speed Control". Then go to CPU Q-Fan Control and select enabled. Then set the CPU Fan Speed Low limit to 200 RPM.

Then exit the BIOS with saving your settings. That should fix the issue.

I know where the option to control the CPU fan rpm is, but where would this minimum section be? What do you exactly mean by minimum? The mimimum fan rpm I observed?

If so, when I reset my Bios settings, the CPU fan rpm settings got set to default and this minimum spec is the reason? I looked under Advanced mode, and couldn't find anything. Here's what the Bios looks like, just in case: http://ksstudios.com/wp-content/gallery/uefi/110409014243.jpg (I use a Z77, but the bios looks identical).

I would guess that when you reset the BIOS you bypassed a setup wizard that sets the limits for a PWM CPU fan. But as I said this is a common complaint with Asus motherboards. I have seen the recommendation to just disable the function, but I want to know if my CPU fan isn't operating correctly.

Sorry for the late response. I eventually found it. I set it to disabled, but will monitor closely to see if I should up it to 200, as you said. Thanks so much!!!
