Hi folks, HELP? My laptop comes up with "you are not connected..." and trouble shooter says restart the router, and this works. BUT, my partners laptop is in use, fully connected, having had to restart the router in order to do so. So, why can one of us be connected but we don't have internet connection? Or, one of us not have connection thru a router that is actually performing perfectly well for the other laptop?

One with fixed, the other with dhcp addrees? One on 2.4GHz, the other on 5GHz? One with the right password, the other with the wrong one? Thousands of possible reasons!

Everything was fine, but, right now this minute I am told Internet explorer has stopped working, but, I can get here somehow, by clicking start, typing Internet etc and going to this very file. But no option to go to Google etc, not even a house symbol. This just started happening, no one played with the pc, there are no viruses etc, it just decided No Internet explorer!

Any error messages in Windows event viewer? This sounds more like your hard disk is dying now.
