After installing the new Comcast modem (which I never wanted in the first place) our phones haven't worked properly. They work right for about 2 days and then they drop incoming calls after half a ring!! Comcast says it's not their problem. They say it must bad wires in the house. I find that hard to believe since we never had a problem until the new modem was installed. Any thoughts or suggestions.

No, it was not a feeble attempt at humor in any shape or form, I was completely serious about what I said. I have not had problems with the phone specifically, but I have had problems with the router and an intermitent internet connection. I got every excuse in the book from your wiring is bad to sunspots (really?) It took me and the technician (2nd tech) they sent out nearly 2 hours on the phone to resolve my issue. The first problem is you have to get through the nonsense overseas support and speak directly with someone in Denver. For my trouble, I now have the Arris modem, and 2 years of Blast internet service for free, which by the way is working perfectly now. jit I'm assuming your response is a feeble attempt at humor. I'm been through every Comcast layer of command, spoke with three supervisors, and had technicians out to my house twice. I have a third coming on Monday. I don't expect them to solve the problem however. That's why I'm reaching out to see if anyone else has had the problem of drop calls and if they came up with a solution.

Diligence and determination for certain, but the only people who can fix your problem if you have Comcast, is Comcast.
