Hello,

I need a new PC for gaming and video/photo editing.

I planned to buy at hardwarestore.de as I'm from Germany.

This is what I had in mind, see additional comments for the list of parts.

Approximate Purchase Date: Between one and three weeks from now.

Budget Range: 800 € to 1000 €.

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming, video/photo editing, multitasking.

Parts Not Required: I need everything.

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: http://www.hardwareversand.de/home.jsp?lid=2

Country: Germany.

Parts Preferences: See additional comments.

Overclocking: No.

SLI or Crossfire: No.

Are you buying a monitor: Yes.

Monitor Resolution: 1920x1080.

Do you need to buy OS: No.

Additional Comments: Full list of parts can be seen here. (You can change the language of the page to english in the upper right corner).
As you notice this is above my budget. So I would be thankful for hints where to start saving.

Looking forward to your input.

Regards

Solution
Get 1.5v RAM. The case is junk. You REALLY want a case with PSU on the bottom.

Everything else looks good. You should be able to get an r9 280 or r9 280x for the same price as the 760 but perform better.

Thanks for your help.

I replaced the RAM with Kingston HyperX 8GB Kingston HyperX 8GB.

Had a look at the R9 and choose the Sapphire R9 280.

Any other advantages of a bottom PSU vs. a top one except lower center of gravity and heat accumulation at the top?

Anyway the new case.
