Hi. My router (which I recently bought) with DD-WRT firmware deson't handle the stress it should be able to. For example a few minutes ago I downloaded a new GPU driver and CSGO with 5 mb/s. What happened then was that I couldn't load any webpage including the routers interface (because it was too stressed.) I had to manually restart the router to be able to enter the interface. I have very standard optimization, not QoS enabled. If you want screenshots of something specific let me know:)  Hope you can help me.

While the WRT54G was a solid router, it suffers from having a relatively small amount of RAM. Early models came with 16MB, later models only 8MB. With the added workload of DD-WRT and heavy tasking, this router isn't able to keep up with more modern routers.

I once used a WRT54G with DD-WRT, but I suffered the same problem when combining high bandwidth usage on numerous wireless devices. The router just couldn't perform under stress, and required frequent reboots. I upgraded to a TP-Link TL-WR1043ND with 32MB and haven't encountered a single problem since.

Will removing DD-WRT fix the problem?

Your router was designed when 1mbps connection was considered "fast". I doubt downgrading to stock firmware will make any signifficant difference on your fast connection.
