So, I built this December 2013, and maybe experienced a the need to unplug and replug my computer at startup maybe twice or three times throughout the summer due to what I would describe as some kind of freezing at startup at the time. Didn't think much of it,
but it escalated in September. This late September into early October I've been experiencing some real difficulties with the computer.

First it started with the fact that when I turned on the computer, no signal was being sent to the keyboard/monitor/mouse, and the computer wouldn't shut off via the power button. I tried unplugging/replugging several times and it wouldn't work; the same problem would occur.
I opened it up and tried unplugging/replugging certain cords and fitting them back into place to test if that was the problem, but no fix. I had to unplug/replug several more times before it magically worked. It happened maybe two or three more times after, but it took FOREVER to start back up normally, and had been working just fine for probably a week until today when it shut down mid-use.

I turned it back on but I had the same problem with startup and tried unplugging/replugging several times, but every single time it did start up normally, it would just automatically shut down after several seconds.

What is the problem?
I need to know what to replace.

Is it purely power? The PSU seems like good quality to me, I'm not sure why it could fail so early.

Could it be motherboard related?
