I have 1TB of external hard drive.. and I want to use it only for storing videos specifically storing of anime... what format do I need?

Solution
Hi there jayr samurai,

I would say NTFS is fine. Do you have only videos on the drive or videos and programs? If you have only videos stored on the HDD and it says the drive is being used most probably it has something to do with the player you are using. Does this happen right after playing something?
It will also won't hurt if you run a testing software on the HDD to check out its health.

By format, do you mean the video files or the drive itself. You don't need to change anything on the 1TB drive since it's usually plug and play and is NFTS. Video files should work as long as you have the right video player for it.
