Monitor sleep mode error!

i have a dell monitor and yesterday i tried to turn it on but it turns on and displays ""DELL" and the blue light comes on and after it displays "DELL" and goes to sleep mode with yellow light. CPU is running and the beeps are fine. any help appreciated :)

No error beeps so the PC hardware is okay. That leaves just the monitor cable or the monitor itself.

Try a new signal cable & if no change, suspect the monitor. Hook up a borrowed one to confirm.
