I have a amd radeon r9 290x. And is it normal that this card gests very loud and hot when I play games on ultra or even high graphics?
How much fps should I get with this card on high settings for far cry or bf4 or other games?

Yes, it gets very hot and very loud. Especially if it's got a stock cooler on it.

As for the second question, let me google that for you.

ok thank you very much. Is it made for those temperatures or could it brake because of them? On what settings would you recommend to play?
And is it a good idea to change the stock cooler?

Well, the trouble is that the stock cooler simply isn't powerful enough to keep that overheating card cool, so the card will throttle itself to not produce as much heat, meaning you get worse performance.

If it's something you're comfortable with, getting an aftermarket cooler will fix your problems.

As for what settings you play on, that has little impact on these issues.
