Hello guys, as I said before I had some graphics card issues last months and yesterday I replaced it with a Gtx 750 ti so I thought 4 gb ram is not enough for a 2gb vga card and bought 4 gb Corsair Vengeance 1600 MHz CL9 9-9-9-24 1.5 V. I had 2 x 2 gb Corsair XMS 1600 CL9 9-9-9-24 1.5 V before upgrade. Now it doesn't work with new ram, but works great with the old ones. You will say "mixing is bad" of course, I know that but when I only installed 4gb vengeance system and started, it turned on for a second, fans were spinning but then power led went off. I tried only updating my bios

Gigabyte P43T-ES3G
Xilence red wing 580w
Intel q8300 2.5 GHz
Msi Gtx 750ti tf 2 gb 128 bit
4 gb (2x2 gb ) Corsair XMS 1600 MHz
2 tb seagate sshd

Clear your CMOS then install the new ram. After an OS is installed, new ram or adding doesn't tend to work straight up. You either get complete shut-offs like yours or constant boot loops, which PC starts then shuts off constantly.

Yeah, after I cleared cmos now pc goes boot loops after turning off itself, I'm trying to do something but can't do anything, doesn't work.

Guys sorry to flood but if anyone reads this message and knows something about this problem please help, because now it's emergency. Can't even boot now, clearing cmos doesn't work, system only works for a few seconds with no beep sound then turns off itself, then starts again, then turns off over and over again. This is a red alarm, s.o.s. I'm waiting for your answers.

I don't know if it's good or bad but I tried to turn it on without ram it gave me 3 long beeps. So I think mobo is ok right? Also USB ports are still working when pc is off, Psu should be ok, too. I think the old Rams and new one are not compatible but how can my system recovers from this?

That's not bad for the motherboard.

With what you did with the CMOS before try this instead -

Unplug all power cord to PSU

Press Power button on case a few times (not hold)

take out the CMOS battery for five minutes, put back in after.

install (1) ram stick.

Depending on the model of the Vengeance, if using the newer higher density memory chips it may not be compatible w/ the P43 chipset - might drop Corsair a note

Ok but I can't even use my old Rams now. I tried everything for 7 hours, moved my system outside the case, checked all cables for a few times, installed each ram on every module one by one . I'm very tired because all of this (not only physically but mentally). I wish I wouldn't buy that ram, if I hear that one beep again - the song of pure stability - I'm gonna cry.

Try unplugging power, remove all DRAM, reset the CMOS. Let sit for awhile, then push power on button for about 15-20 seconds, reinstall battery (shiny side up), install one of the old sticks, plug PSU in and try

Tradesman1 appears to have a possible solution, that is compatibility. There is nothing much more we can recommend to get the new ram working.

Tried but failed again, I think everything is fine until installing ram. I'm not sure what's going on here. You guys think there's static electric problem right?

It is a problem with the new ram, too new for that older board. As Tradesman1 suggested, you may want to check w/ corsair, sending them a message about the ram.

Thanks for helping I really appreciate that. I'll return the new ram but I don't know what to do next. I'll bring my pc there and hope there's no problem on motherboard or processor. If there's a faulty on hardware I hope it's only Psu.

I would consider investing in a new motherboard/CPU combo, depending if it is necessary for your needs and worthwhile.

Yeah I wanted to replace them but replacement parts that I want is expensive right now and I bought Gtx 750ti because I wanted to avoid Psu issues. I feel terrible right now because this system was working perfect until I tried to add Vengeance again. I should have returned it. Big mistake...

I'd keep the Vengeance incase you upgrade your CPU/Motherboard later on.

Good idea but tomorrow I'll want them to check which part is faulty. after that we can talk about it. I hope I won't have to buy a new processor because I'll have to buy i5 under these terms. If psu is guilty I'll buy a corsair. they have only Thermaltake, Corsair and cooler master's psus.

Buy a Corsair that fits into these three categories -

500W/+ / at least 5 years warranty / minimum 80+ BRONZE certification.

Corsair CX does not fit into this, 3 years warranty and has poor capacitors.

Oh really? I was thinking to buy cx series though, now I'm confused :)  actually seasonic x-750 is my first choice but they don't sell seasonic so I don't know :)

if you don't plan to overclock the CX will be fine.

It's hard to write in mobile version :)  I can buy a cx then.i checked my old Rams now and they are 1.65 v but they were working at 1.5 v last time I checked. Do you think this is the reason of my problem?

I wanted to say thanks again, here's the news :

First, they checked my system at store, it didn't work as usual. A guy brought a Msi g41 or something like that and switched my p43t-es3g. Everything worked fine with one of my old Rams. He tried the other one and same problem occurred again, he said this ram is faulty. I said please try vengeance on g41 because it has only two ddr3 slots. I could use that ram only. After he plugged vengeance, that mobo couldn't boot again. So I returned it. I think my processor was damaged because of corsair's vengeance. I bought a gigabyte z97x-ud3h and wanted to buy i7 4770k. Unfortunately they didn't have that so I had to buy i7 4790 (without "k"). I know you can say that was a mistake but I think I'll never overclock anything on my system because I live in a very hot city and don't want any troubles :)  now people say " you should've bought with a i7 with "k" " what do you think about that?

No, only the new one was faulty, like I said when he installed Corsair Vengeance on g41 motherboard, same thing happened and it couldn't boot again. Now my system works better with i7 , I can feel the power :)
