upgrade HD6950 now cheap

hi everyone, I am looking to upgrade my graphics card. I know right now Newegg dot com has the HD 6970 for $80 which I can pair with my 6950. I am planning to wait out until the 300 series releases. But I want to play shadows of Mordor. Is the $80 upgrade to give me a 6970 and 6950 in crossfire worth it. I know the card is out of date but with DirectX 12 so far away I feel $80 for a 6970 is a good deal.

What are the total system specs? That would be a good pair and yeah you can forget about dx 12 for another year or so. People haven't perfectly mastered the dx 11 apart from some manufacturer's like ubisoft, Ea and Dice. So yeah go for the crossfire if you got the system for it.
