Hi Guys,

So a couple of weeks back i built my own gaming PC, nothing spectacular and i put in the following

z97x sli motherboard by gigabyte (brand new)
asus gtx680 2gb (had one lying around from an old sli setup )
i5 4690k (not overclocked) and brand new
corsair cx750m psu (brand new)

the problem i'm having is my graphics card driver crashes frequently as well as i get lots of lag mouse pointer freezes, screen blacks out, and sometimes i have to restart my pc for it to work. however i can game on it, played tomb raider and the gpu temp stays at about 60c and in far cry 3 reaches 70c before i get lag. benchmarked my gpu using furmark and it crashes 5 minutes in and if i underclock the grapics card a bit it will crash after 1 hour or so. the reason I think it maybe the psu is in hwmonitor my psu voltages are low and it doesn't show +12 voltage.

Thank you

I think that It is the graphics card, you could upgrade to GTX 970 though. May be the psu, but i'm pretty sure that it isn't the problem.

The CX series is not one of the better ones Corsair makes:

Still, it could be either cpu or gpu.

Can you test with a different psu or graphics card?

I assume your graphics driver is current.

I doubt the problem is temperature related, but try taking the case covers off and see if that makes a difference.

If you think it is the psu, I would try to return it in favor of a better quality unit instead of asking for a RMA exchange

Sounds like an excuse but isn't necessary, this is still a good card.

Try the voltage readings with this,

Download the next program=hwinfo32,

http://www.hwinfo.com/download32.html

You can open hwinfo32,after that open the sensor window by marking sensors=V,after that click run.

see what this gives. Also look in the bios for good readings.

I also don't think it's the psu.Maybe remove the drivers completely with the next,

or
http://treexy.com/products/driver-fusion

then install the latest drivers (WHQL) again.

used to have a better PC but sold some components to pay for my tuition, i had that graphics card for about 8 months now
with Hwinfo my voltages are
+3.3= 3.305v
+12v= 12.168v
+5= 5.07v
and bios readings are also close

without the graphics card attached the system runs like a dream, so im starting to think its my graphics card giving up. I just thought maybe the psu wasn't providing enough power to the graphics card

EVGA had a 3 year warranty on GTX680 cards.
Do you qualify?

Regarding the psu, this sounds good especially because of this.

Tried the driver sweep?
